I was saved while serving in the U.S. Navy onboard the U.S.S. Kennedy, in 1986. God called me back to this area where I became involved in a small local church. Faithful witnessing to my girlfriend led to the salvation of Cathy Hill, who would later become my wife.

After preaching and teaching at the church, God directed me to attend Tabernacle Baptist Bible College. Although my heart was for my hometown in New England, the Lord led me to leave my job as an electrial engineer and pursue full time ministry. In October of 2004, the church called Pastor Pearson as the Senior Pastor of Tidewater Baptist.

Pastor Pearson served in the U.S. Navy for nine years (1983-1992) before becoming an Engineer and remaining in the area to attend Bible College. After ten more years (1992-2002) he went on staff full-time at Tidewater Baptist. He soon became the Assistant Pastor (2003-2004) and then finally the Senior Pastor from 2004 to the present time.

In 1989 he married and he and Cathy have four children, and eight grandchildren. His youngest daughter, Bekah, is still at home and a Senior at Pensacola Christian College.
